About

Pink Peppercorn Food Fragrance is a food-grade aroma oil from dried Schinus terebinthifolius berries of Madagascan origin, diluted in fractionated coconut oil (MCT) and supplied in a 10 mL amber glass bottle with a fine-mist spray head. All percentages below refer to the essential-oil fraction before dilution in MCT, as stated in the TDS. Botanically this is not a true pepper.

Functional Properties

The odour is bright, peppery and resinous with a sweet fruity top, giving pepper character without the pungency of black pepper. α-Phellandrene dominates at a minimum of 30 %, α-pinene at 8–16 % and limonene at 6–15 % supply the fresh terpenic lift, and a sesquiterpene tail — β-copaene 2.0–8.0 %, (E)-caryophyllene 1.0–6.0 % — gives persistence.

Quality

By GC-FID area normalisation the specified constituents total at least 70 %, and identified compounds reach at least 90 %. No arsenic, cadmium, lead or mercury is detected; microbiology complies. A clear, colourless to pale-yellow mobile liquid; shelf life 24 months.
