About
Lavender Food Fragrance is a food-grade aroma oil from fresh Lavandula angustifolia flowering tops grown in Türkiye, diluted in fractionated coconut oil (MCT) and filled into a 10 mL amber glass bottle with a fine-mist spray head.
Functional Properties
The odour is fresh, floral and herbaceous, recalling the flowering tops themselves. Linalool at 20.0–43.0 % and linalyl acetate at 25.0–47.0 % make up the bulk of the essential-oil fraction, giving a rounded floral top over a soft herbaceous body; terpinen-4-ol (max. 8.0 %) adds a green nuance, and camphor is limited to max. 1.5 %.
Quality
By GC-FID area normalisation the specified constituents total at least 95 %. Heavy metals are not detected and the microbiological panel complies. A clear, colourless to pale-yellow mobile liquid, insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol and fixed oils; shelf life 24 months.
Applications
- Confectionery and bakery: creams, glazes, biscuits
- Syrups and dairy desserts: milk puddings, ice cream bases
- Beverages: lemonades, tea blends, cocktail syrups
- Dosing: dose to effect in the finished matrix — lavender is potent and easily overdosed in sweet work
