This is the myrcene-standardised grade of Juniper Berry Essential Oil, distilled from dried Juniperus communis cones from Türkiye. Colourless to pale yellow and undiluted, it reads fresh, resinous and woody, with a fuller green-herbaceous body than the non-standardised grade.
Functional Properties
The grade is built on a fixed floor for myrcene: specification > 35 %. Shifting weight onto that acyclic monoterpene lowers the pinene share — alpha-pinene is specified at 40–55 % — which produces the greener, less sharply coniferous reading. Limonene 2–5 %, p-mentha-1(7),8-diene > 1.0 % and (E)-caryophyllene > 1.0 % complete the profile. For a formulator the point is reproducibility: the monoterpene balance does not drift between deliveries.
Quality
Nominated constituents total > 85 %, identified compounds > 95 % of GC-FID area. Raw-material total ash is below 4 % and heavy metals non-detectable. Shelf life 24 months; 1–5 kg bottles, 10–25–50 kg drums. Not recommended for use during pregnancy.
