About
Peppermint Food Fragrance is a food-grade aroma oil from dried Mentha × piperita aerial parts, diluted in fractionated coconut oil (MCT) and supplied in a 10 mL amber glass bottle with a fine-mist spray head. The odour is sharp, cooling and sweetly minty with a clean menthol lift.
Functional Properties
Menthol and menthone define the profile. Menthol at 28–40 % governs the perceived cooling, while menthone at 15–32 % and isomenthone at 2.0–10.0 % supply the herbal-minty depth; limonene at 1.0–15.0 % brightens the opening. The material is powerful — small additions carry a long way, and overdosing reads as harsh rather than fresh.
Quality
By GC-FID area normalisation the specified constituents total at least 75 %, and identified compounds reach at least 88 %. Heavy metals are not detected, and E. coli and Salmonella are absent. A clear, colourless to pale-yellow mobile liquid; shelf life 24 months.
