Additional data

  • Storage conditions: Store in cool and dry place, keep away from intense light and high heat.
  • Carrier: None. This is a pure, undiluted essential oil.
  • Packaging: 1–5 kg/bottle, 10–25–50 kg/drum.
  • Shelf life: 24 months
  • Dosage and use: Lavender essential oil is used in cosmetic and personal-care formulations for its calming aroma and skin-soothing properties, as a natural flavour in confectionery and beverages, and as a fragrance ingredient in candles, soaps and household products. Typical use levels are 0.1–1.0 % in leave-on cosmetics and 0.5–3.0 % in rinse-off products; the oil should be diluted in a carrier before skin contact. The composition is dominated by linalool and linalyl acetate, which together account for roughly two thirds of the oil. Conformity with ISO 3515:2002 All thirteen constituents of the ISO 3515:2002 normative chromatographic profile (clause 4.10, Table 1, “other origins”) are within the limits of the standard; this product conforms. n.d. = not detected. Conformity assessed by GC-FID area normalisation against clause 4.10 only; clauses 4.4–4.9 (density, refractive index, optical rotation, miscibility, acid and ester value) are outside the scope of this data sheet.
