About
D-Limonene Pure is a natural, citrus-derived isolate fractionated from citrus peel oil (Citrus spp.). A colourless to pale yellow mobile liquid with a clean, light citrus aroma and a characteristic orange-peel top note, supplied as a distilled isolate with no added solvent, antioxidant or diluent.
Functional Properties
Limonene is specified at more than 85 %, with myrcene above 1.5 % as the main accompanying terpene. The isolate is insoluble in water and miscible with ethanol and fixed oils. Limonene autoxidises to sensitising hydroperoxides: store cool, dark and well-sealed, under inert gas where practical, and check the peroxide value before use in skin-contact products.
Quality
Heavy metals (As, Cd, Pb, Hg) are non-detectable and the microbiological panel complies with specification. 12-month shelf life; supplied in 5–25 kg lacquered steel drums, 190 kg drums on request.
