Sessile Oak (Medium Roast) Extract

Sessile Oak Extract (Medium Roast) is a dark-brown resin from Quercus petraea wood, produced by supercritical CO₂ extraction of roasted oak. Its aroma fraction carries oak lactone (whiskey lactone) alongside vanillin: woody, with notes of vanilla, caramel, and almond.

Functional Properties

GC-verified composition: total aroma components 17.6% (coniferaldehyde 12.2%, sinapic aldehyde 16.2%, vanillin 1.5%, syringol 0.9%); total triterpenoids 11.9% (β-sitosterol 8.3%, friedelan-3-one 9.5%, betulin 2.8%); squalene 0.9%; α-tocopherol 0.5%. Provides antioxidant and antimicrobial activity.

Quality

Pure SFE extract. Soluble in ethanol, immiscible with water. Heavy metals non-detectable. 24-month shelf life.
