About
Rosehip fruit supercritical CO₂ extract (Rosa canina) captures the complete spectrum of pulp and seed constituents, delivering enhanced carotenoid content distinguishing it from conventional rosehip seed oil. This dark orange-red oil presents a fruity, floral aroma with hibiscus and berry notes.
Functional Properties
Beta-carotene content reaches 861 ppm, accompanied by lycopene, rubixanthin, and zeaxanthin contributing to the characteristic bright coloration and potent antioxidant activity. The tocopherol fraction includes α-tocopherol (1074 ppm) and γ-tocopherol (933 ppm) providing exceptional oxidative stability. The fatty acid profile features linoleic acid (48.3%), α-linolenic acid (22.2%), and oleic acid (19.1%). Trans-retinoic acid (tretinoin) and its precursors occur in significant concentrations—responsible for rosehip's documented regenerative properties.
Quality
Standardised to >800 ppm β-carotene by HPLC (latest batch: 861 ppm). Full-spectrum extraction capturing pulp and seed constituents. Exceptional tocopherol content ensures oxidative stability. Complies with cosmetic-grade specifications.
